System has four main functional areas dedicated to the management of different laboratory data and resources.

Area 1 - General lab management
There are several modules in this area dedicated to general lab management: Message Board, Events, People, Duties and Publications.
All these modules are fully functional and available in the current release.

Area 2 - Lab items and expenses management
Modules in this area are dedicated to the management of lab items and expenses general information, materials orders and preparations, preps aliquots (samples management) and storage places. All items could be barcoded.
All modules are fully functional and available in the current release.

Area 3 - Animals management (Animal house)
Modules in this area are dedicated to the management of animal applications and strains information, individual animals, animal breeding and frozen embryos, as far as allocation of animals in cages. All items could be barcoded.
All modules except Animal Embryos are fully functional and available in the current release. Animal Embryos module is under development and will be available in the next release of the system.

Area 4 - Instruments and equipment management
Modules in this area are dedicated to the management of lab instruments and equipment information, including instruments booking system. All items could be barcoded.
All modules are fully functional and available in the current release.

Area 5 - Electronic lab-book (Project management)
Modules in this area are dedicated to the management of information about work areas, work activities (experiments and tasks) and work protocols. To each work activity its is possible to link orders, preps, aliquots, animals and protocols. Work teams allow to group people from different workgroups and institutes into teams, which could be used to set access rights.
Modules Work areas, Work activities and Work protocols and Protocols are fully functional and available in the current release. Module Work teams is under development and will be available in the next release of the system. More functionality will be in the next releases of the System.

Area 6 - Statistics and Reports
Modules in this area are designed to provide information about accounts (provided stages and estimated current stage) and overview of budgets for lab items and expenses, and animals. More functionality on different reports will be in the next releases of the System.
All modules are fully functional and available in the current release.

Search
Module to accomplish search in whole System. It is possible to search for keyword (all sections) and barcode (all sections where barcoding is available).
This module is fully functional and available in the current release.


System is available in four main versions - Basic, Professional (Pro) Expert and Animal house. These four versions are different in modules composition and so far the set of functions available. For more information see table.
